Gilbert, Arizona's bulk trash program is a service for items that are too large to fit in your trash container. Our bulk trash schedule runs every five weeks the exception of the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas.
All items collected in our bulk trash program are taken to the landfill. Household trash is not accepted for bulk pickup and should be bagged and placed in your black curbside trash container.

Large appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, water heaters, and air conditioners are not accepted in Gilbert’s bulk trash pickup program. Residents may schedule to have up to two appliances picked up for a trip fee of $16 during their bulk trash pickup week or $85 for requests made outside of their bulk trash pickup week.

After scheduling, place appliance out for pick up according to the following guidelines:
Gilbert's bulk trash team has collected more than 14K tons of trash in 2020 so far. That is 27% more trash than last year.
Donating items, such as furniture or other household items, instead of putting them in your bulk trash pile benefits the community, local organizations and the environment. Plus, many of these organizations offer donation pickup!
Contact your favorite second-hand organization or check with the organizations in Gilbert's Neighbor 2 Neighbor Program to learn more about donation drop off and pickup options.
Electronics, tires, household cleaners and more can be taken to Gilbert's Household Hazardous Waste Facility.
Special bulk pickups are available for a bulk piles that exceed the 10’ X 5’ X 5’ limit, but are not larger than 20’ X 5’ X 5’.
The items can be collected for a $100 fee.
Special collections may not be requested the week before your normal bulk collection week.

There are two designated transfer stations available for Gilbert residents to dispose of a load of waste up to one ton once every 30 days at no cost.
Requirements to utilize this program include:
*Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required by the facility and may be available on-site for an additional fee. Please call ahead to confirm.
Roll-off containers are available for both commercial and residential customers for business and large-scale home improvement projects.

A. Place your bulk items out no earlier than the Saturday before your collection week and no later than 5 AM on Monday of your collection week.

Q. Where do I recycle batteries, electronics, paint or other household waste?
A. NEVER dispose of hazardous materials in your curbside trash. Please take them to our Household Hazardous Waste Facility to dispose of them properly: gilbertaz.gov/HHW
Q. Where do I put my bulk trash pile?
A. On the street, against the curb away from any items that could inhibit our driver’s ability to access the pile.
